What is your Reshipping Policy?

Our logistic partners in India - Blue Dart and Fedex have plenty of benefits and advantages and a few restrictions as well. We all strive to provide you the best service, here is a quick overview:

1.When your order clears customs and gets connected with the domestic shipper, they send you an SMS, and our team sends a courtesy SMS/phone call to all Self Pick up orders to remind them to pick up order soon it arrives.

2.After the order arrives at the courier office in the customers pincode, the courier personnel generally makes a call attempt and a delivery attempt on the same day.

3.On the third day, if the order is still not delivered or picked up, our team sends a courtesy SMS/phone call to remind you to pick up the order as the courier office will send it back after 5days.

However, in spite of these precautions, few orders sometimes don't get picked up, or get returned back to our India warehouse due to a multiple number of unique reasons. Under these circumstances, if we have to reship the order to you, it will incur a Reshipping Fee of Rs.999, which is charged by the shipper to reattempt the delivery once again. This may also cause a 7-10 business days delay which may vary depending on the time it takes for the package to come back and then for it to get connected in the same cycle once again.

So to avoid these circumstances we request you to keep track of your order and also let us know via email about your inability to collect or receive the order.

Will my order arrive in a discreet & private manner?

Definitely. Your order will arrive in a discreet manner. 

We have a custom logistics process in place for our customers in India and around the world. We have partnered with world class shippers Fedex,UPS,USPS,DHL and BlueDart & Aramex.
As we understand your need for privacy, we put an extra effort to ensure that your order is packaged securely, shipped reliably, handled discreetly and delivered timely.
Through an efficient & connected network, your package will arrive to you in a Fedex/UPS padded package. There would be no indication outside about the contents of the package. The shipping label will say as shipped by & from 'Shipping Department, Happy Birds Inc, Florida/Georgia USA' and the product name as ‘Gifts & Souvenirs’. So, there will be no mention of the site IMbesharam and neither the actual product name.

How Long will it take to receive the order?

For our customers in India, the shipping estimate is normally between 2-7 biz days and 14-21 biz days depending on the product you have purchased, the shipping option selected and shipping location and where you are ordering from. 

When you purchase a product from our store that is listed as shipping from India, it takes 2-3 biz days to deliver the order in a Metro City and 3-7 biz days to a Non-Metro city and if you purchase a product that is being shipped from the US, it will take 14-21 biz days to deliver to you. The products are shipped out of our US distribution centre (see how it works), to the destination country/city. For customers in India, it may take between 3-5 days for the package to arrive at the Indian airport and then depending on how long it takes at customs (usually 1-3 days) they are delivered to our India distribution partner. The Indian partner normally takes 2-3 biz days to deliver in Metros and 3-7 biz days to non-Metros.

What are the shipping charges?

Can i change my Delivery address after the order is placed?

Not after order has been processed and you have received a shipment confirmation email. However in extreme/unavoidable circumstances that you may have to change, we maybe able to assist with this if informed with 24 hours of receiving the shipment confirmation email.

Can I ship it to a country outside India?

Yes you can. Enter the physical address of the business or residence that the product needs to be delivered to. Be sure to add the city, state and country along with a valid zip code or pin code. So that we may reach you in case of emergency, ALWAYS remember to provide us with your mobile number.

How do I know if my area is serviceable or not?

Enter your pin code here if its serviceable it will show as 'Pincode OK', If not it will show as 'Pincode is not service area'. If your pincode is not serviceable, please either select an alternate address to get the package shipped to or Look up the closest BlueDart courier office in your area and select 'SELF-PICKUP' option in your shopping cart, which means you will get the package picked up at the closest BlueDart office. If none of these options work for you, Pls. contact our Customer Care Team and we will try to assist you by involving a third carrier or look up some other options.

Can I upgrade shipping choice to Super/Lightening Express?

Sure you can. However this upgrade needs to be received and paid for within 48hrs of placing the order. If you decide to do that and had changed your mind about shipping, Please contact our customer care team within 48hours of placing the order on our site.

Who will deliver my order? How?

We have partnered with Fedex,UPS,DHL and USPS for shipping our products in US & International and with BlueDart & Aramex for shipping our products in India. The package will carried on ground and air or a combination of both and delivered by the trained personnel of these world class shipping companies.

Is the packaging discreet?

Absolutely, Your order is usually packaged in a Fedex/DHL padded envelope, with no indication or mention of the contents or the recipient (you) up until it passes and gets cleared through customs. After customs clearance, the package is labelled with your name and address as the recipient and the shipper info will be 'Happy Birds Inc, Shipping Department, GA, USA'. There would be no other mention of the contents anywhere on the package, so when you receive it, you can confidently sign for it without having to face any uncomfortable situations at home or at work.

Does my order need to be signed for?

Yes, The courier personnel will release the package to you only after getting your signatures as proof of delivery.

Will I be charged twice for shipping even its going to same address?

Delivery charges (Shipping costs) are automatically calculated per order/invoice, So if you have all the products going to one address, shop it as one order, and you will have to pay only ONE delivery charge. However If you shopped as two individual orders, still going to same address, there is individual delivery charge on each order, so Yes, you will be paying for 2x delivery charges.

Can my order be shipped urgent?

If you order needs to arrive quicker, Please select the quickest possible option during checkout which may take 3-5 days for reaching your local destination from our US distribution center. Simultaneously please contact us via email or chat after submitting the order, so we can try to expedite it as much logistically possible. However please know that the absolute quickest time is at least 4days from date of order & payment.

Can I PICK UP my order from the courier office in my area?

Yes, you can. You can pick it up from the closest BlueDart office in your pincode should you desire to order that way. When placing the order, select 'SELF PICKUP' as the delivery preference and we will surely follow through and inform you about PICK-UP at your closest courier office. Make sure to take a valid ID to the courier office to collect the package.

What happens if I am not home to SIGN for my delivery?

Unfortunately if you or somebody at your home or work is not able to sign for the package, the courier will NOT be able to hand over your package. Please contact us via email or chat and we will reschedule the delivery or guide you to pick it up from the relevant courier's office.

I received my order much later than the expected date ?

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Normally the shipment arrives on time, however on occasions, there are several external factors like inclement weather, missed flight connections, delay in clearance at customs and other local circumstances that may delay the timely arrival of your package. While it is of no fault of us or yours, we shall take responsibility for the delay. Please contact us via Email/Live chat and we will assist you with your request and resolve it your satisfaction.

What are your delivery hours? What time can I expect my order?

You can expect your delivery at the standard business hours of 9am-6pm Monday thru Friday. In some exceptional situations, the delivery may also arrive on a Saturday. Please email us if you like to have the order on hold at the local courier office so you can pick it up at your convenience.

Will I be charged customs and import charges?

The prices you see on our site are inclusive of customs and duty and brokerage fees (approx. 30-40%) and you will not have to pay any additional customs/duties or taxes. Is it legal to shop for sex toys on

The simple answer is YES.

Because we have already done the hard work of importing them through customs by filling all the documents to support the legality of these products, only after they get imported are we able to sell them in India. Our Custom consultants work with the department to properly classify these products and ensure we have the rights and permission to sell and distribute them in India.

Now there is a lot that goes behind the scene, which we will not bore you with. First, we avoid to label them as 'sex toys'. These are pleasure products, and we prefer not to label them as 'sex toys' due to the stigma and undue attention it gets.

Legal Explanation: Under the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 292 prohibits the sale of obscene objects. We argue with the department that these products are NOT OBSCENE and they are being used by an individual in the privacy of their own space, so the Indian Constitution grants each Indian citizen the freedom to their own space and rights to their privacy.

We take full responsibility for the products we sell, so you, the customer does not have to worry about it after having placed the order online. Why is the price of sex toys higher in India than other sites in USA & UK/Europe?

The reason is the complex import process & expensive duties & brokerage charges.

The landed price of an adult product in India is about 3 to 4 times the cost of the product in USA, UK or Europe; the reason are detailed below:

  • International shipping - Usually we ship our consignment through DHL & Fedex from the US to India. The international shipping costs are high with these couriers, and more so lately due to COVID where flights are less, demand is more and rates of all man and material have gone up.
  • Customs duties - The total import duties we pay on our shipments usually range between 105-125% of the declared value (some of the highest in the World) and these includes customs duties, IGST, taxes and various other fees that are collected by Govt. of India for allowing to import this product category. These have gone up from being 70-80% to 105-125% in last 2 years because the government is discouraging international imports and trying to persuade Indian citizens to buy products Made in India, to advance the MakeinIndia agenda.
  • Broker charges - These are fees paid to a specialized group of agents and consultants, who handle all the necessary paperwork, certifications, licensing and regulatory compliances to make these imports happen. If not for them, it is near to impossible to import XX products in India due to the complexities of how rules and laws are written and implemented by authorities. These costs usually form a big chunk of the overall price (generally ¼ of the cost of the product you pay). The biggest advantage is that when we import through them, our customers identity is NEVER revealed at port of import and your privacy is maintained throughout the entire process.
  • Domestic shipping and admin fees - Thereafter we incur costs of delivering the order to your door, which includes domestic courier shipping, quality control and courier coordination along with operational costs like warehousing & discreet packaging, business operations & customer service, which along with the cost of the product total up to about ¼ of the total price of the product.

For example, if the price of a product costs $100 in the US, by time it reaches India, it will add up:

  1. US cost of product, shipping & admin costs = $120
  2. International shipping = $50-$75
  3. Customs duties = $120-$150
  4. Broker charges = $95-$125
  5. Domestic shipping and admin fees = $20-$30

Total Landed costs in India = $405-$500

The sum total of these costs end up making the product 3-4x the price you can buy it in the USA, UK or Europe where there are NO such complex import processes or import restrictions that end up raising the selling prices.

We are aware that some international online shops may claim they ‘ship worldwide’ including India, but we do not recommend purchasing from any sites unless they clearly GUARANTEE 100% complete custom clearance and door delivery to you. We have seen and heard many customers take this risk, had their orders confiscated at Customs in India and ended up receiving show-cause notices from the department asking to show up to explain why they imported a ‘prohibited’ obscene product in India. The sellers, under these circumstances, will fold hands and will be unable to assist with clearance or refunds, since they claim they have already shipped the consignment and they are relieved of their responsibilities.

For such reasons, adult products in India will be a specialized commodity until the import restrictions are relaxed or we manufacture them in India, in which case we run a risk of producing products that may not match internationally reputed brand standards until such Indian manufacturing and skill sets become trained and competent to match up International standards of quality, hygiene and packaging.

Being that the International COD involves service from international shippers and domestic couriers, the COD fees charged on a COD order is 10%. This is in addition to your order value and collected in advance when you place your order in our store.

Can I modify/cancel the order after it is placed?

Yes you can, but under 24 hours and subject to the details of our cancellation policy, please read our entire cancellation policy here.

If you decide to modify/cancel your order, you are advised to do it within 24 hours of placing the order or before your order is shipped from our warehouse - whichever is earlier. With time zone differences, we cannot guarantee we will be able to modify/cancel your order but we will make every effort to process that request.

If we are able to modify the order, there is NO extra cost to it and we will be happy to process it as revised order. If we are able to cancel the order, please allow 5-7 working days for us to process the refund back to the original form of payment if available.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

We offer a STRICT 24 hour Cancellation Policy to cancel any orders you placed with us, subject to it not being shipped from our warehouse and subject to the following terms and conditions:

: If you wish to cancel your order after the order is placed please submit it via email or live chat asap and get an acknowledgement from us. If we get the cancellation request within 24 hours of your order confirmation and the order is not shipped, we should be able to cancel your order and submit your payment for refund subject to the below restocking fees. Once cancellation request is submitted, please allow 24-48 hours for us to complete the cancellation process and 4-7 working days for the refund (subject to restocking fees listed below) back to the Original Form of Payment/ Store Credit / Gift Card.

Within/Post 24 Hours BUT Order HAS SHIPPED: If we receive the cancellation request within OR post the 24 hour period BUT the order has shipped, we may still be able to cancel the order,  this request has to be determined on a case to case basis, depending on if the order is UNOPENED and can be RTO'd (return to origin) or it may need you to ship it back to us. Once cancellation request is submitted, please allow time for the RTO to come back to our warehouse and thereafter 24-48 hours for us to complete the cancellation process and 4-7 working days for the refund (subject to restocking fees listed below) back to the Original Form of Payment/ Store Credit / Gift Card.

RESTOCKING FEES: All acceptable cancellation requests made post 24 hours cancellation period & after shipped order is RTO'd will attract 25% restocking fees + Rs999 Shipping Costs and can ONLY be refunded back Store Credit / Gift CardThese fees are deducted to cover administrative costs for receiving and cancelling order, two way shipping costs and administration costs of reversing the logistics cycle to retrieve the order and processing the cancellation as well as non refundable payment gateway fees which usually is between 3-5% of transaction value.

Why was my order canceled?

Your order could have been cancelled due to multiple reasons. It could be because the order was not paid for 7 days of receiving it, or it was a duplicate order or it was flagged by our system as fraudulent.

Please contact us immediately if you need to clarify the reason behind cancellation and resubmit the same order again post correcting any issues thereafter.

How will I know if my order is placed successfully?

You will receive an order confirmation email from us detailing the products you ordered, the amount you paid and other relevant details about the order. Save this email as that is the only receipt you will get from us confirming your order and payment details.

However, if payment is deducted but an order confirmation email was not received by you then please email us at and our team will assist you with the concern.

How do I check the status of my order / track my order?

You can check the status of your order by

1. Sign in, then go to 'My account > Order history' and then clicking the order # and then clicking the appropriate tracking link.

2. Simply click here TRACK MY ORDER and enter your email address (that you used for purchasing the order) and the order number in digits, ex: 123456, and the app would display the order status.

3. You can also click the TRACK NOW options in the 'shipping confirmation' email you received. If you haven't received an email yet, most likely your order/package has not shipped yet.

4. If none of the above work, just contact us via email and we will check in the system and get back to you with your order status.

Why did I receive a partial order?

This would happen for two reasons:

1. If during placing your order, you selected to receive your order quicker and selected 'SHIP WHAT'S IN STOCK ' then we ship you what we have in stock. The rest of the pending order is generally fulfilled under 10-14days after that.

2. We may have shipped partial order so to expedite delivery by shipping what was in stock in India, and will notify you of the status of the remainder of the order via email.

However if you specified that you need them all together and in spite of that you received a partial order, we apologize for that mistake, pls do contact Team Besharam and we will check into this for you.

I can't see my recent order in my order history?

If your order was placed before you created an account with your email address, it will not show in your account history. However if you contact us, we will pull up the order details and send it to you via email.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it deliver to my home/office??

Yes, of course you can!

We offer an option of 'Will Pickup' when you place the order and select your shipping options. 'Will-Pickup' as a delivery option wherein you can do a self pickup of your order from the closest courier office in your pincode, as and when convenient for you.

This is a great & smart option to avoid the courier guy coming to your home/office and having your family/friends question you about the package.

How to: While placing the order, Please select WILL PICK UP in delivery preference and your order will be delivered to the nearest courier pickup facility to your pin code. Once your order is delivered to the pickup location, you will receive notifications via email /call from the courier to come and pickup your package. How can I cancel my order?

If you decide to cancel your order, you are advised to do it within 24 hours of placing the order or before your order is shipped from our warehouse - whichever is earlier. With time zone differences, we cannot guarantee we will be able to cancel your order but we will make every effort to process that request. Once cancelled, please allow 5-7 working days for us to process the refund back to the original form of payment if available.

Are there any side effects in using the products?

Products that are for external use have no side effects. However you have to be careful not to use it on exposed wounds or rashes or any skin infections. At this point, we do not have retail locations as we are conceptualized to be exclusively an online specialty store. Is VAT included for a non Indian customer?

YES, If you are shopping at India Site (, VAT and all other local and import taxes are included in the price of the product. One shop takes care of all stops. Will my family/neighbors know whats inside the package?

No way. We understand the need for your absolute privacy and hence we run a very tight ship when it comes to logistics and shipping. Your order is packaged very securely in a white bubble wrap envelope and sealed before it leaves the warehouse. There is no description or indication of the product inside and you cant feel the product either as its a padded envelope. The shipping label will show 'Happy Birds Inc, Shipping Department, GA, USA' as the shippers address. When the courier guy arrives, he delivers this as naturally as any other package from any online store in India. However if you feel more comfortable to pick up your package yourself from the courier's local office, just select appropriate 'SELF PICKUP' option in the shopping cart and we will follow these instructions. Why does the amount on the invoice attached to my package not match with the order total/amount I paid?

Because the invoice sent with the package is NOT your actual invoice, Your actual invoice is the ORDER confirmation email (which you get immediately after submitting your order and making the payment). That is the only INVOICE/RECEIPT you get from us when you make purchase with us.

What you get on the package is a generic invoice used only for shipping and as required by courier. It is also used as a safety net for your order, as the description on the order is kept generic to say 'Gifts & Souvenirs' to keep the delivery as discreet as possible and to avoid any undue attention to the contents inside the package. You may NOT want the courier delivery person to know what is actually inside the package, Do you?

This along with many other carefully modelled processes are what we do to provide you discreet delivery as promised, so your order information stays private between you and our website. No third party should know about this.

NOTE: Since your order is placed with a US website, there is NO GST collected from you, so the invoice presents an all inclusive total of the product and associated costs to deliver it to your door, which includes customs duties, taxes, IGST and other fees & brokerage paid at time of import, all of that is billed to our company. What to do If my Debit/Credit Card does not go through?


We have encountered several instances where a payment has not gone through at the checkout stage. Before we address and share the alternate payment options, we want to make sure of a few things that you have already checked-
1. That your card is a DEBIT or CREDIT CARD with a VISA/MASTERCARD/AMERICAN EXPRESS logo on it.
2. That your card has an expiration date and that it has NOT expired yet
3. That your card has a CVV code in the back (three digits for VISA/MASTER) and 4 digits in the front for AMERICAN EXPRESS
4. That you have available credit /funds in your account to make that purchase
5. And lastly if you have a CARD that says INTERNATIONAL , use that FIRST. Do you price match?

Sure, We can. Our prices as shown on the site include custom duties and taxes, so what you see here is the 'landed price' of the product. Our heavily discounted FLATE RATE International Express shipping rate of Rs599/order is something that goes towards the final cost of the product, which not many online stores can offer or match. So if a reputable online seller is able to offer lesser price for the product, custom duties and taxes till the final destination and shipping as a WHOLE we will most definitely match that price.

What currency can i use on the website?

I have been refunded when i requested an exchange ?

Oops..our bad, Unless in an unlikely event we couldn't find a replacement for that product, we have gone ahead and refunded it, so you can make a fresh purchase for something we will have in stock. What Can I Return/Exchange?

Generally speaking you can return almost everything you purchased from us as long as its not opened, nor used, nor tampered with, under 15 days of receipt of the products.

If you open the product then it not able to be returned. Additionally, depending on the product like lingerie, adult toys, lubricants etc, there are different options available to return them and most of them are at the discretion of Customer Care and depend on each individual circumstance.

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a 15 day Return Policy on all the products purchased from our site. The 15 days begin from the date you receive your order. How do I Return/Exchange products?

If the return meets one of the four guidelines above, please gather the product/s you would like to return/exchange and click a close-up picture of it (using a 3MP or better phone camera), which clearly shows the condition of the product, its packaging and any associated booklets or tags intact. Next click the ‘Request Return’ button at the end of Returns Policy section, fill the form with information of your original order, upload the pictures you clicked, select the reason for return and choose the relevant refund/exchange option. Submit the form with any special remarks or instructions you may have for our Returns Department. Allow 48 hours to approve the return request and email you a RMA# (Return Merchant Authorization number). After you have received the RMA#, please use the envelope provided inside your original order to carefully pack the return items, fill the Return Checklist (also provided in the original order) with the RMA# and insert these inside the envelope and securely seal it. Within 1-2 business days we will get the return package picked up. However if your pincode is not serviceable by our courier partners we will ask you to use the label attached to the Return Checklist and mail it to us at our India Distribution Center. Once we have received the return package and inspected it, we shall initiate the return/exchange process and communicate with you via email with the status of your return request and follow through till you get the exchange replacement or till your refund is processed as credits.

How to speed up Returns process ?

if you send us what we need in the first go, or as quick as you can, that will help speed up the return process time.At the time of filling the form for returns, pls. use your smartphone to click picture of the product in the exact shape you plan to return it. Include a picture of the front, back, side and inside (if applicable). Upload these pics to the return request form and submit it.The pictures that you send will help us identify your returns quicker and aid in a speedy process.

Can I return products I am not fully satisfied with?

At Besharam, while we are bold and daring in what we do, we stand behind our products, our service and you, our customer. If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your order, we will gladly take it back and issue you a store credit for full value (less shipping costs to get it back to US). You just have to make sure the package is not opened or tampered with and the products have not been used.

How long will the entire returns process take?

Once your order is approved for returns as per our policy, our team will initiate the pickup of the order which takes about 3-5 biz days to get to us in our India distribution center. Allow us one week after that to inspect the order, process your return and get a exchange or get the refund as per policy.

Do I get charged for returning products?

You are eligible for a return if your request is submitted in compliance with our 15 days return policy. Read the policy in detail here 

If the product you are returning is under the first 15 days, is unopened & unused, you get back what you paid for the product less shipping costs of Rs.999/- and 25% restocking fees that system deducts as per our cancelation policy.

If you are returning to exchange lingerie (due to size) as allowed by the policy, we waive the shipping costs as a one time benefit, to allow you a peace of mind in ordering lingerie from our store.

How will I be refunded for the return?

When a return request is processed, you will have a choice to either exchange it against another item/s of same value or more OR get a refund in the form of a store credit, which never expires and you can use in the future on our site. Here is the RETURN PROCESS EXPLAINED.

RESTOCKING FEES: Due to the specialized nature of the product, all acceptable Return+Cancel Requests made within 15 days* period & after order is delivered will attract 25% restocking fees + Rs.999 2-way Shipping Costs and can ONLY be refunded back Store Credit / Gift Card. These fees covers cost of payment gateway that does not refund the fees that it charges us on the transaction, two way shipping costs and administration costs of reversing the logistics cycle to retrieve the order and processing the return.

Do you provide a pick up from home/work for returns?

Yes, We do. Just like we delivered the original order to you, upon confirmation of a return request and issuance of an RMA# (Return Merchant Authorization Number) we schedule a pickup from the same address to pick up your approved return merchandise. See return policy for details 

How long will it take for the refund to be recieved ?

Once the return is picked from your location, it takes between 7-10 biz days for the return merchandise to be received back at our distribution centre in India and the return process to complete and another few days for the returns department to process the refund.
So approximately your refund is processed in about 10-14 biz days and soon the store credits are processed to you an instant confirmation of the credit details will be sent via email.

I was supposed to receive my refund by now but I haven't ?

If for any reason you have chosen to cancel your order as per our cancellation policy and opted to get refunds to your source of payment and it has been over 3 weeks and you haven't received your refund yet, please do not worry.

I received a damaged product / wrong item, What to do?

Technically that should not have happened, however If it did, we would like to first apologize for the inconvenience. Brand does a quality check of most electronic and non electronic products to ensure they arrive to you in new & fully functional condition, thus eliminating any chances/possibilities of shipping faulty products.

However if you have received a faulty/damaged product, please inform us under 72 hours of receipt and fill out the warranty claim form request here and our team will help you troubleshoot the product. If in case the troubleshooting steps did not work, we will make arrangements to get it picked up and file a claim with the brand to offer you a free* replacement.

Do you allow exchanges?

Yes Of course, we do! Have you ordered a size too small or too big? No problem! We will replace it for you for FREE for the first time as a additional incentive to buy from However if the exchange is for a non-sizing related issue, it will not be a FREE replacement and it will go by the return guidelines shown here 

I have been refunded the incorrect amount ?

Why cant I return If I opened the package?

If you open the package/seal many of the categories primarily any clothing or products that come in contact with the intimate/private parts of a human is considered unusable and un-sellable again due to hygiene and security reasons.

So all lingerie, underwear, shapewear, legwear, adult toys etc are non-returnable. We also are unable to accept books, games and DVDs back due to the nature of the product. Costumes are unreturnable after they have been opened/used. Please read our detailed return policy for more info

Do you have any exchange / money back guarantee or period?

Yes, we have a 15 days exchange/money back policy. Please read our return policy for further details. If we shipped you an incorrect order or your order was damaged during shipping or arrived defective, we take full responsibility for it.
